TransUnion Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Negative

New DelhiPosted Apr 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The process started with a coding-style pseudo task for a console MP3 player application design, followed by a video interview.

That video round already felt chaotic: the interviewer asked me to switch on my camera, and once I did, the process seemed to change course—then I was told they wouldn’t be proceeding with video and eventually rejected me in front of a panel.

The whole situation felt dishonest and frustrating, not because I couldn’t do the work, but because the rules shifted midstream and I was left feeling embarrassed during the interaction. I didn’t get an offer, and my reflection was that it wasn’t really about my ability at that point—it was about the way the interview was handled.
