A recruiter contacted me and explained the position clearly, including what was expected and what my day-to-day work would look like.

Then I was given a proofreading test. What stood out was that the recruiter walked me through what they were looking for and even mentioned mistakes that other people had made before.

It didn’t feel like they were trying to trick me—more like they were trying to set me up to succeed while still testing accuracy. The overall interaction felt friendly and intentional, and while I didn’t get an offer, the process felt fair.
