Toys "R" Us Account Executive interview experience

The questions came across as predictable and not very demanding, and the HR interaction in particular stood out as friendly.

Even so, the whole experience left me uneasy after the fact. I kept feeling like I’d spent my time on something that didn’t lead anywhere meaningful, and I later noticed big signs that stores were closing and that management issues were driving a lot of the trouble. I didn’t get an offer, and what I reflected on afterward was less about how I performed in the room and more about whether the company’s direction matched the time and effort it asked for.
