They asked me questions about my previous co-ops, and it was clear they were looking for people who would follow Toyota’s methodology.

The conversation stayed focused on whether I understood how that approach fits into real work.

I also got the impression that they did mass hiring at times, which was a positive sign for co-op students. The overall experience felt pretty neutral—neither especially stressful nor overly exciting.

I didn’t receive an offer, but I did leave with a clearer sense that the methodology and fit mattered as much as the specific tasks I’d done. The co-op background questions were the center of the whole conversation.
