Because I had previous co-op experience with Toyota, my interview process ended up being condensed.

Still, it started with the STAR format—Situation, Task, Action, Result—and it was conducted over the phone, which wasn’t ideal for me.

Even with the phone format, the recruiters involved felt friendly and laid-back about how things were going. My answers largely focused on walking through relevant experience in that STAR structure. Overall, it felt less stressful than the longer processes I’d heard about, mostly because the tone was comfortable and the team didn’t make it feel adversarial.
