I went into the Toast process expecting a fairly standard sales interview, but it quickly became clear the bar was high and the timing was intense.

After the recruiter step, I ended up in multiple rounds that leaned heavily into behavioral questions and scenarios, and each conversation felt like they were trying to pressure-test how I handled discovery, objections, and next steps.

The part that took the most effort was the presentation and pre-work. I remember being asked for a detailed prospecting plan and restaurant analysis, and the time required to do it well felt way beyond what I expected for the role. The process also included long interviews and at least a few stretches where I had to be ready to talk through my day-to-day
