Toast Account Executive interview experience

I’d show up expecting a real conversation, but the call would either be rushed, one-sided, or clearly not fully attended to. I remember getting a recruiter who seemed to be going through the motions, asking questions without much engagement, and not really following up on what I said. Even when I answered well, the interaction left me feeling like I couldn’t properly convey my qualifications.

There were also logistical red flags that added to the frustration. In one stretch, the recruiter’s outreach didn’t lead anywhere meaningful, and I felt like the process was already effectively decided.
