Oxnard, CAPosted Jan 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I didn’t feel prepared in the moment, and it made the interview harder than it needed to be for me.

I was extremely nervous, partly because I was a teenager and it was my first real interview. I hadn’t practiced the questions, and when I was asked some of them, I struggled to come up with answers that felt natural.

Even though I knew what the job was about, my anxiety got in the way of responding confidently. I didn’t get the job, which stung, but I also didn’t spiral afterward—I told myself there were more opportunities out there. Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t the questions themselves, it was how tense I felt walking into them.
