Tide Software Engineer interview experience

4Posted Dec 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an SDE-4 position and was genuinely surprised by how familiar the questions felt.

When I got into the rounds, the same questions I’d already seen posted elsewhere showed up again.

There wasn’t any sense that the interview content was uniquely tailored to me or to my experience in a deeper way—what mattered most was that recurring set of prompts. I ended without an offer, and that mismatch between expectation and the repeated question set made the whole experience feel odd to me.

Looking back, the biggest takeaway was how much the process felt like it followed a fixed script rather than evolving based on what I shared or how I performed.
