My ThoughtWorks application felt overly drawn out—nine rounds total—and by the time I reached the end, it honestly didn’t feel like the process mattered much.

I went through what felt like an excessive amount of steps and effort without seeing it translate into meaningful engagement or impact.

The focus ended up being much more on culture than technical depth, which I wasn’t against in principle. What bothered me was the balance: there were comparatively fewer real technical questions and not much productive exchange that made the process feel connected to skills.
