I was interviewed by a panel of about five developers, and right away it felt like they were trying to cover a range of knowledge.

Each person introduced themselves and then asked Java questions that moved from beginner territory to more advanced topics. The pace was steady, but the scope meant I needed to be comfortable with the basics and also have a handle on the more challenging follow-ups.

It was clear from the way they questioned me that they expected fluency in core Java concepts rather than just familiarity with surface-level syntax. I didn’t receive an offer, but I appreciated that the questions were direct and the panel format made it clear what they were evaluating.
