I went through a recruiter-style process that felt rigorous and thorough, mostly because they were trying to make sure the fit was right for the team’s culture.

I had to take the work seriously beyond just showing up—I ended up doing real research into the company, and I made myself available to go the extra mile. The whole vibe made it clear they weren’t looking for a casual, low-effort conversation.

Even though it wasn’t described as a multi-stage pipeline, the experience still felt like a true evaluation of whether I could represent the brand the way they expected. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but I walked away understanding that the bar was about both seriousness and cultural alignment, not just sales talk.
