London, EnglandPosted Aug 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went into an interview that felt pretty easy compared to what I’d done later in other processes.

It was with a senior interviewer who mainly asked about my experience and my projects. The conversation didn’t go very far into my technical strengths because they seemed unable to understand the cloud-related work I was describing, and their interest faded quickly.

From the first few minutes, I felt like it was going to be a mismatch—like I was wasting time trying to get someone to engage with the details of my projects. I didn’t get an offer, but the experience wasn’t stressful so much as disappointing because it never really connected to what I thought the interview would evaluate.
