A recruiter scheduled an interview for me, and less than a week later I was told that recruiter had been let go.

I was then asked to meet with the new recruiter for the role. When the new recruiter reached out, it came with a long, detailed email explaining that I wasn’t qualified and then cancelling the interview altogether.

What bothered me wasn’t just the cancellation—it was how abruptly the process shifted after the initial scheduling. There was no meaningful discussion or opportunity to clarify anything before the interview was taken off the calendar, which made it feel careless on their side. I didn’t end up getting an offer, and the whole sequence left me with a very skeptical impression.
