Tenneco Software Engineer interview experience

I talked with one of the QE people for about thirty minutes, and the atmosphere felt more like getting to understand the environment than sitting through a strict Q&A.

After that, they took me into a conference room and offered me the job. The only thing that stopped it from landing was that we couldn’t agree on pay.

So I didn’t end up accepting the position as described. The interview itself felt smooth and practical, but the compensation mismatch was the blocker that changed the final result.
