My interview journey followed a pretty classic Tencent structure, and what stuck with me most was how much the focus stayed on fundamentals and how the rounds were clearly separated.

I started with technical interviews built around data structures and algorithms, and the conversations also included general programming topics like multi-threading and design patterns.

Later, I went through a behavioral round. It was the more conversation-based part, but it still included questions that checked my background and how I thought about programming in practice.
