For the TCS NQT interview, I went to the Gandhinagar, Gujarat branch, and the setup felt like a multi-panel assessment day.

There were nine different panels, and each panel had three people: a technical leader for technical questions, a project manager for managerial questions, and HR for basic questions with a focus on location-related fit.

My own panel asked only SQL-related questions, while other panels handled broader technical areas like Java—sometimes even more advanced Java topics depending on the panel. Even with so many panels to rotate through, the experience felt overall positive, and I left feeling like I had enough clarity on what was being tested at each step.
