This was an on-campus opportunity with a simple flow: first there was an online test, and then there were technical interviews.

The interview overall felt nice and the experience was positive, but my profile leaned more toward developer work than what they were hiring for.

Because of that mismatch, I was rejected even though the process itself felt smooth. The difficulty was average, and the feedback wasn’t about me performing poorly—it was more about alignment with the role’s focus. My reflection was that even with a good, friendly process, the fit between profile and target role mattered a lot.
