Stripe Software Engineer interview experience

The thing that stood out was that I had to read a lot just to understand what they were asking in the first place, so the challenge wasn’t only writing code—it was absorbing the requirements.

The problem wasn’t the typical HackerRank-style data question. It wasn’t especially hard in terms of brute algorithm complexity either, but the length and the amount of reading made it feel more demanding.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, and I think the main gap was that by the time I’d fully understood the prompt, the time pressure naturally narrowed my room to execute perfectly.
