My first technical step required writing a bunch of code, and it leaned heavily toward cleanliness more than fancy data structures.

The coding expectation felt like they cared about how well I structured the solution, not just that it passed.

After that screen, I was emailed details to set up a virtual interview, which then moved into an onsite. The process felt like a progression from code quality in a focused setting into a fuller evaluation later.

I didn’t receive an offer, but the early technical stage clearly signaled what they valued: readable, well-structured code. That clarity helped me understand why I struggled—my implementation didn’t land the way they wanted it to, even if I could follow the requirements.
