My first interaction was fairly low-key and in-person/remote in a way that felt casual, but it quickly became clear they were moving me through quick checkpoints.

One part started with a greeting and then a brief conversation where the interviewer asked a light, almost “day-to-day” kind of question, like whether I was available and how I handled practical realities. The company explanation was standard, and nothing in the questions stood out as especially deep.

Another conversation stayed similarly straightforward, but it included a more personal, values-oriented topic. I was asked about the interviewer’s interest in topics like commitment over time and whether I could engage on the long haul, including a question connected to violence against women
