I interviewed with the entire department on-site for a full day.

I was told later that I was under-qualified for the exact role, but they still showed genuine interest.

A few weeks after the day ended, I got a call telling me to keep my plate clean for the following two weeks. Shortly after that, I was offered a job—but it was for a different role that was still similar to what I initially came for.

Getting that offer ended up being a positive surprise. Even though I hadn’t been the perfect match for the first opening, the process still moved forward in a way that felt responsive to what they actually needed.
