My process began through a university-linked application, which included essays, including why I wanted to join the company.

The next step was an interview that lasted around 45 minutes.

The interview started with the usual get-to-know questions, then moved into one construction-site process technical question. They also asked broader questions like what advantages and disadvantages I saw in myself, where I expected to be in five years, and whether I was prepared to work anywhere in the UK.

Overall, it was an easy-flowing stage for me, and the tone was straightforward. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the conversation itself felt more like alignment than a deep technical interrogation.
