I had an onsite interview day that started with a long wait—about two hours—and ended up consuming basically the whole day.

After completing five rounds including HR, I was told they’d have another HR call to discuss compensation.

For the next few days, nothing happened. I followed up over email, and eventually I got a call where they told me the team in Germany didn’t want to proceed. That final explanation was brief, but it also made the waiting period feel even more frustrating.

I didn’t get an offer, and what I remember most was the disconnect between the promise of a compensation discussion and the delayed, minimal closure that followed.
