I went through a long, drawn-out sequence that ended with a culture-fit message rather than any technical details.

After an initial hacker-style coding round, they invited me to onsite and scheduled two more rounds. Communication then got weird: they said the manager wasn’t available and that they’d call me another day, which cost me extra time.

When the process resumed, I had two additional rounds, and the following day included an HR round and then a director round. By the time everything was done—so many conversations back to back—the feedback I received was essentially that I wasn’t a cultural fit. It felt especially frustrating because I had already lost several days waiting through the scheduling
