ServiceNow Software Engineer interview experience

The first interview was pretty pleasant and focused on ServiceNow products as well as my work experience. The conversation flowed well, and I didn’t feel like it was adversarial.

Unfortunately, it didn’t turn into a match. The feedback was essentially that my experience didn’t line up with what they were looking for in the role—partly because it involved a different tech stack than what I’d worked with.

Even though the result wasn’t positive, the recruiter interactions stayed respectful and kind throughout, which made the whole thing feel positive despite the mismatch.
