My process felt unprofessional from a communication standpoint—there were long waits and no clear updates along the way.

The interviews themselves weren’t especially difficult, but the recruiter communication kept leaving a bad taste, and I never really felt fully grounded in where I stood.

At the end, the recruiter told me the feedback was positive and then offered me compensation that I experienced as “low ball.” I asked them to reconsider. After that, the story changed: they later said one of the feedback points was negative, and they weren’t offering the role anymore. The way it was presented made it feel like the rejection hinged on the compensation negotiation rather than the technical discussions.
