My interview for a UI dev position started with a live coding test in HackerRank.

The test was based on machine coding plus a single data structures question, and the rest of the process followed as two more rounds that included the hiring manager.

After the HackerRank segment, I had additional interviews that were both machine-coding focused and anchored around past experience. One round with the hiring manager leaned into general conversation about the project and what I’d done before, while another round also included machine coding on HackerRank. Overall it felt like they cared a lot about how I think and write code in the moment, not just what I could describe
