I went into the interview with a pretty light preparation level, and it showed.

The discussion centered around MySQL and system architecture, and the recruiter was friendly and helpful throughout scheduling and the early interaction.

During the technical part, I didn’t get very far into coding—at least not in the way I expected—because I wasn’t as prepared as I needed to be. I remember leaving that conversation realizing I had missed the chance to demonstrate more. Afterward, I asked for feedback so I could understand where I went wrong and what specifically I should have done differently.
