After an HR call, I had a brief follow-up with the hiring manager.

Surprisingly, the conversation didn’t include any real technical questions.

What stood out was the context: the role had been advertised/open for a long time, and that made me wonder whether the company was genuinely trying to hire or whether the process was more ceremonial than evaluative.

I didn’t end up receiving an offer, and honestly I walked away with the feeling that the interview didn’t do much to assess fit beyond a lightweight conversation.
