Eugene, ORPosted Jun 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process followed a more traditional chain of interviews inside the department, run over a couple of weeks.

I did three separate interviews: first with someone from within the department, then with their manager, and finally with the CIO.

The awkward part wasn’t the format—it was the silence afterward. By the time two weeks had passed, I hadn’t heard any update, and when I reached out to request feedback, they didn’t respond. That lack of follow-up dragged the experience down even though the interviews themselves were part of a clear sequence.

I didn’t get an offer, and what I remembered most was how unmanaged the communication became after the final interview.
