I went through a multi-interview onsite where the hardest part was consistently explaining my projects clearly across repeated conversations.

Grad school + onsite loop — I had one interview during grad school and then five onsite interviews.
Project deep-dive, repeated — The interviews weren’t very technical, but I had to describe my projects and the algorithms I used very precisely; the same core story was effectively asked over and over. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that clarity and consistency in explaining your work were the deciding skills.
