I ran into a notably high-pressure process with multiple technical checkpoints and an onsite that moved quickly into very technical testing.

Phone interview — I started with an hour-long phone conversation that led into a longer onsite process.
Onsite interviews (day-long) — I faced a full day of in-person interviewing; in one experience I received a test as soon as I walked in.
Technical test / deep technical questions — The questions were very technical, and I was asked follow-ups about how solid-state memory works.
Aptitude + coding/sample project (in one path) — Another version of the journey included an aptitude test plus a code test described as a sample project.
