I went through multiple interviews over a few weeks, and while the people I spoke with were sympathetic, the process ended up feeling like it was mostly following a checklist rather than meaningfully evaluating my fit.

I received a generic negative email with no explanation, and it made me feel like the time I invested didn’t get respected.

One specific disappointment was a mismatch between what the prep materials said and what I actually faced. I was told not to focus on LeetCode-style problems and instead to lean into Samsara’s systems-related topics, but when I got into the technical interview, it turned into a standard LeetCode medium. That gap between expectation and reality was the moment I felt the most let down.
