After an initial HR and hiring manager conversation, I was invited to a panel and the process quickly became heavy.

They set expectations from the beginning that I’d need to spend a fair amount of time preparing—100+ hours. During that preparation, they gave me access to an environment, and I was paired with a “buddy” for regular follow-up calls to help me prepare.

I’m glad the structure was there, but I still felt frustrated at the end. After being rejected, I didn’t get honest feedback about what went well or what went wrong, especially considering the number of hours I put into preparation. It would’ve meant a lot to understand where I missed the mark and what specifically I could improve.
