I was scheduled to meet three people back to back.

One was a second-year associate and it started very casually, like an introduction. The partner interview was more formal, and the manager round was the longest and most in depth of the three.

Even though the role had technical aspects, there wasn’t a case interview at all—so the assessment skewed toward conversation and discussion of my fit rather than solving a scenario. I didn’t get an offer, and my honest reflection was that I went in expecting more technical-style evaluation and ended up focusing more on explaining myself.
