Rolls-Royce Robotics Engineer interview experience

The setting itself stood out—factories and workshops were described as world-class—and the technical questions felt targeted, with a strong focus on hydraulics and, in the turbine area, the way turbines are put together. I ended up walking through my understanding of turbine components and how they relate to pressure and design choices, and it was pretty diagram-driven.

Overall it felt professional and well-organised, and the feedback style was surprisingly encouraging even though I wasn’t successful. My downfall was a knowledge gap in hydraulics, which they made clear was a key requirement
