Rolls-Royce Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

United KingdomPosted Aug 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I started with a phone screening, but the process quickly shifted into something more automated and unfamiliar to me.

After that, I did a virtual interview where I had to record video answers to a set of questions. There wasn’t much back-and-forth with a real person, and afterward I ended up deciding to stop rather than continue.

What bothered me most was the lack of human interaction and the minimal communication afterward—almost everything felt like automated messaging. I’d expected some kind of follow-up or conversation, but it never really came. The whole experience left me feeling uneasy rather than excited, and since I chose to withdraw, I obviously didn’t receive an offer.
