Roku Software Engineer interview experience

Both technical rounds were coding-based, and each engineer used a different language: one interview used C++ and the other used C.

The questions were described as easy to medium level, and the interviews themselves were friendly. I never felt like I was being “tested” in an adversarial way—more like a normal coding conversation where I could focus on solving.

I didn’t receive an offer, but the overall process felt fair and approachable. My takeaway was simply that the bar was solid coding fundamentals, and the tone was supportive even when the result didn’t go my way.
