Seattle, WAPosted Nov 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I didn’t like how my loop was handled from the start.

I felt the recruiter process pushed me toward an interview with an engineer whose role didn’t match the expectations of the interview itself. During the design portion, the interviewer seemed unable to lean on solid fundamentals and instead leaned on rehearsed, scripted answers.

The experience was frustrating because it felt like I was being evaluated on exact phrasing rather than reasoning through the design. Overall it left me annoyed more than concerned, because the technical conversation didn’t have the substance I was expecting from the loop.
