I got a pretty intense coding setup where I had to complete a difficult problem within 50 minutes.

The expectation was very concrete: my code needed to run without bugs on HackerRank, and I had to get the full set of test cases to pass.

I focused hard on finishing in the time limit and made sure everything ran correctly in the environment, because that part mattered. I did pass all the test cases, but I was still rejected the next day. The outcome didn’t match my test-run results, and it left me feeling uneasy about what else they might have been evaluating beyond correctness.
