Rippling Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Feb 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

For the SDE-1 role (0–2 years), my process looked like an initial online assessment followed by onsite interviews.

I started with an online assessment, then the onsite sequence included a DSA-focused round.

In the DSA round, I was asked to design a Travel class with functionality that involved adding drivers. The prompt was framed as an object-oriented design challenge rather than just a basic algorithm exercise, and it required thinking through what the class needed to support.

The rest of the onsite was described as having multiple rounds total, but the detail I got captured most clearly was that early DSA design portion. I didn’t end up moving forward to an offer from that loop.
