Renesas Software Engineer interview experience

The coding question itself wasn’t extremely hard, but I was anxious and not at my best—less prepared and not well rested.

Even though I felt off during the session, the engineers I spoke with seemed knowledgeable and nice, and they maintained a professional tone. The rejection felt tied more to my performance state than to any lack of competence.

Overall difficulty was average: the actual task wasn’t brutal, but the emotional and physical conditions made it harder than it should have been. Looking back, the timing of how I showed up mattered as much as the question itself.
