Renesas Software Engineer interview experience

The conversations were professional and the interviewers seemed genuinely knowledgeable. I felt like the discussion matched what I’d presented, and it didn’t seem like there was any major red flag during the interviews.

After nearly two weeks following the L2 round, I was told my experience didn’t align because the role was intended for a more senior candidate. The part that bothered me was the timing—my resume already clearly stated my years of experience, so it felt like the seniority mismatch could have been identified earlier rather than letting me invest time across multiple rounds.
