Renesas Software Engineer interview experience

They checked my basics and emphasized that knowing how to code mattered, but they also wanted hardware knowledge.

The way I experienced it, embedded basics were important and the level seemed to be more about core theory than anything extremely advanced to pass. The session itself felt smooth and interviewers were friendly, with very little friction.

At a high level, it was the kind of process that didn’t feel overly stressful. It stayed focused on whether I could cover the required foundational concepts clearly, and that made it feel easy overall even though the content was still technical.
