The first round I went through was with a recruiter and it was largely about resume screening.

They also asked about visa status and relocation, and then they drilled into my projects and my background in my highest degree.

This step felt difficult mainly because it combined administrative details with technical or project depth—so it wasn’t just logistics, and it wasn’t just discussion either.

By the time I left the recruiter stage, I felt like the process would be selective about both eligibility and how my academic and project experience translated to the role.
