My first step was a phone call, and after that an on-site interview could be scheduled.

On site, I met both the hiring manager and a technical leader from the team. The structure felt straightforward: a quick introduction on the phone, then a deeper look at how I would fit from both a management and technical perspective once I was there.

Because the reports I heard were consistent about the same two on-site voices, the biggest impression I took away was that they wanted a balanced read—how I explained myself to leadership and how I handled the engineering side with the technical leader.
