I went through a pretty light client-led process that started with basic questions about the domain and database.

Then they gave me a single easy coding task to solve right in front of the interviewer.

What surprised me was that the emphasis wasn’t on perfect syntax. They seemed more interested in whether I had the correct algorithmic approach and could reason through it without getting stuck on minor language details.

Overall it felt easy, and the tone didn’t create a lot of tension. I didn’t end up with an offer, but I came away feeling like the decision hinged on straightforward correctness rather than deep, tricky problem-solving.
