San Francisco, CAPosted Dec 2010 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I walked into the process feeling like they had really high expectations, and it matched the impression I got of the team—smart people, but also a sense that there were recurring conflict-resolution issues.

The way I interpreted it was that they weren’t only looking for technical ability; they were effectively hiring someone who could help manage or resolve friction inside the group.

The interview difficulty was on the higher side, and I could tell there was a lot of pressure around how well the role would need to fit into that environment. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the overall feel was that they were searching for specific interpersonal capability as much as technical competence.
