I went through a licensing-and-training pathway for the Account Executive opportunity, with upfront app and course costs.

Business application + app fee — I was told I’d pay about $100 for an independent business application, then submit it if the role fit.
Two weekend course + licensing — They described a two-weekend course that usually costs far more but is included, and then licensing exams (provincial/state) to become legal to solicit and be paid. Outcome: No offer; it was easy but involved significant steps and payments before earning.
